Jamie Murray-Pullan
Jamie Murray-Pullan’s practice currently focuses heavily on current global crises, at all times engaging a broad range of audiences giving particular consideration to accessibility and engagement.
His work often holds a strong connection to the public and he believes that Art is for everyone and if someone cannot understand his work immediately that work has failed. Murray-Pullan is an artist who constantly seeks to create works that are wonderous, intriguing, truthful and humorous, starting with a simple but unique idea and building in a much wider range of understanding and discovery the more the viewer invests in the works.
A strong non-believer in the idea that ‘everything in Art has been done’ Murray-Pullan thinks about what where and how Art is explored in new and exciting ways. Starting at Leeds College of Art (2014-16), moving to London’s Chelsea College of Art (2016-19) to study a bachelors in Fine Art and now on the Master Contemporary Art Practice course at the Royal College of Art (2019-21), Murray-Pullan has always thrived when surrounded by fellow Artists. He creates out of a passion for making and as such works heavily in physical materials however an open mindedness and curiosity allows him to traverse methods at will.
Through his devotion to both the courses he studies and his ever evolving practice Jamie Murray-Pullan is perfectly poised to join the elite of the Art world.
